Smart Energy 250?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The FRITZ!Smart Energy 250 is a battery-powered sensor that uses the <strong>optical interface (infrared LED)<\/strong> The digital electricity meter records data on current power consumption and meter reading. This information is transmitted via <strong>DECT radio<\/strong> to a compatible <strong>FRITZ!Box <\/strong>sent. In our test, the setup via the <strong>FRITZ!App Smart Home<\/strong> Both via the web interface and on mobile devices, it is particularly convenient and self-explanatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">In a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/chrissmart.de\/en\/smart-meter-test-report-fritz-smart-energy-250\/\">separate article<\/a> <\/strong>We have already extensively tested the FRITZ!Smart Energy 250 and described the setup, installation and evaluation of the consumption data in the FRITZ! system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setting up and installing the Smart Energy 250 at the electricity meter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">A DECT-enabled FRITZ!Box is required for setup, which establishes the connection to the FRITZ! Smart Energy 250. Supported models include, among others: <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4qXuRgx\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4qXuRgx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FRITZ!Box 5590 Fiber<\/a>* and the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4qo0Vuh\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4qo0Vuh\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro<\/a>*.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Installation is particularly easy: Thanks to the integrated magnet, the sensor is attached directly above the LED and stays securely in place on its own. Both horizontal and vertical mounting are possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Whether the sensor is correctly positioned and transmitting data can be checked directly after installation in the FRITZ!App Smart Home. As soon as measurement values are displayed, the installation is successful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Tip: The AVM website has a list of incompatible meter models. This should be at least version 03.73. If an older version is installed, a software update can be performed via the FRITZ!App or the FRITZ!Box web interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The recorded measurement values are displayed in the &quot;Sensors&quot; section:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Energy feed-in<\/strong>: Shows the amount of electricity fed into the grid in kilowatt hours (kWh).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Energy consumption<\/strong>: Displays the current meter reading of electricity consumption in kilowatt hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">By default, both measurements are initially labelled &quot;Energy&quot;.
