They are plugged in between the wall socket and the device and then allow control via app, voice assistant or automated scenes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">With the GRILLPLATS, IKEA is primarily focusing on <strong>simple operation, energy monitoring and wide compatibility<\/strong> through Matter over Thread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is the IKEA GRILLPLATS?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The <strong>BBQ AREA<\/strong> It is a compact smart plug that is inserted between the wall socket and the electrical device.
