We already discussed this in a previous post. Introducing the Homematic IP glass series The manufacturer has now released further exciting details about the new series. This innovative product line combines a high-quality real glass surface with an elegant, timeless design and is available in white and black.
Smart control with glass wall buttons and wall thermostats
The Homematic IP glass series includes wall switches and wall thermostats that can be operated via a touch-sensitive glass surface.
Homematic IP glass touch panel: Flexible and individually configurable
The wall switches can be individually customized and configured for one, two, or four-button operation. This provides versatile control options for all Homematic IP solutions such as lighting control, shading, or access control.
A particular highlight is the illuminated dividers, which enable intuitive operation. Touching the respective button triggers an immediate send command. Furthermore, longer button presses can be programmed for functions such as dimming lights or a quick-action function for simultaneously touching all touch surfaces.
Homematic IP wall thermostats: with CO₂ measurement

The new glass series includes two variants of the wall thermostats:
- Standard wall thermostat with temperature and humidity measurement
- Extended version with additional CO₂ measurement
The temperature can be adjusted in 0.5°C increments using the + and – touch controls. The thermostat also features an integrated relay that can be used to directly control thermal actuators for underfloor heating systems. Alternatively, the switching output can be used as a light switch if underfloor heating is not present.

Easy installation and flexible configuration
The Homematic IP glass series focuses on easy installation and smart configuration options. For installation, the glass inserts are placed into the included flush-mounted unit and supplied with 230V power. In addition to the power supply, the flush-mounted unit contains a switching relay, allowing existing light switches to be easily replaced. The auxiliary input of the flush-mounted module can be configured as a switching or touch sensor, enabling the continued use of conventional push buttons. Device configuration is carried out conveniently via the Homematic IP app, as usual.
