IKEA KLIPPBOK firmware update 1.0.13
With the new Firmware 1.0.13 IKEA appears to be rolling out further optimizations. Official release notes are still unavailable, but initial user reports on Reddit indicate a more stable connection and fewer failures in everyday use.
The previous update to KLIPPBOK firmware 1.0.11 was already intended to improve stability and reduce connection problems, according to the community.
Version 1.0.13 is likely to continue this work. IKEA currently appears to be focusing heavily on network stability, especially for battery-powered Matter-over-Thread devices. Further indications can be found in the forum discussing IKEA devices.
Update in Home Assistant and SmartThings
Anyone using KLIPPBOK in Home Assistant can see the firmware update directly in device management. A working Matter integration including a Thread Border Router*. The update is distributed OTA (over the air) and can be started directly from Home Assistant.

The update is now also distributed through SmartThings by Samsung. The new firmware is installed automatically in the background. This shows that IKEA is working with several platforms rather than limiting its Matter devices to its own ecosystem.
