Aqara Shutter Switch H2 EU with Thread, Zigbee and Matter

The new Aqara Shutter Switch H2 EU is now available in Europe and advances smart roller-shutter and blind control. With Thread and Zigbee support, Matter compatibility, precise positioning from 1% to 100% and useful features such as energy monitoring, it offers everything a modern smart home needs.

Thread & Zigbee support

The Shutter Switch H2 EU supports two protocols for maximum compatibility.

• Zigbee mode: access to exclusive Aqara features and Matter compatibility through an Aqara hub.
• Thread mode: direct integration into Matter-enabled systems such as Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa or Home Assistant; a Matter controller and Thread border router are required.

Precise blind control

Positioning is continuously adjustable from 1% to 100% through the app, voice commands, buttons or schedules. Roller shutters, blinds and other bidirectional AC motors can therefore be positioned precisely.
Preset scenes such as “Gentle wake-up” or “Movie time” can be assigned to an extra button; this feature is available only in Zigbee mode with an Aqara hub.

Customisable function buttons

In addition to the standard “Up” and “Down” functions, the switch has two extra buttons. They can be used for precise positioning, scenes or other devices. Each supports single, double and long presses, enabling up to six automation actions.

Compact design with 55 mm frame support

Measuring 86 × 86 × 45 mm with a 31 mm installation depth, the switch fits standard 55 mm switch modules. It also works with third-party multi-gang frames such as Gira System 55 and Merten M.

Energy monitoring & power-failure memory

The Aqara app displays energy consumption by day, week or year, helping users identify patterns and create energy-saving automations.
Thanks to power-failure memory, the shutters return automatically to their previous state after an outage.

Smart calibration

During initial setup, the switch can run a complete up-and-down cycle automatically to determine the upper and lower limits. This ensures precise control and protects the motor.
