The next Amazon Prime Day is just around the corner. Amazon has now officially confirmed that the 2026 shopping event will take place from June 23 to 26, starting significantly earlier than in previous years. Over the course of four days, Prime members will have access to millions of deals across virtually all product categories.
Prime Day could be particularly worthwhile for smart home enthusiasts. In recent years, products in categories such as smart home technology, consumer electronics, household appliances, and balcony solar power systems have consistently been among the most heavily discounted items.
Four days of Prime Day deals
Although Amazon originally launched Prime Day as a one-day discount event, the occasion has been steadily expanded over the years. In 2026, the promotion will once again run for four days.Prime members* can access exclusive offers from June 23 to 26. Not a Prime member yet? You can find out more about membership at thislink*.
Earlyadvance offers* are already available. Amazon is highlighting discounts on its own devices in particular, as well as on selected products in the home, consumer electronics, and smart home categories.
These smart home products could be of interest
Even though the specific deals are only revealed shortly before Prime Day, a look at previous years highlights some typical candidates:
- Amazon Echo speakers and Echo Show displays*
- Ring cameras and video doorbells*
- Blink cameras*
- Smart home devices from Aqara*
- Shelly products*
- SwitchBot*
- Robot vacuum cleaner fromRoborock*, Dream* andECOVACS*
- Balcony solar power systems* andEnergy monitoring devices*
Amazon’s own products, in particular, are traditionally among the devices with the biggest price reductions during Prime Day.
Not every offer is automatically a bargain
As with any discount promotion, it pays to take a close look at price trends. Not every advertised saving is automatically a good deal. Price comparison sites can be helpful for checking whether a product is actually being offered at a lower price than in previous weeks. Additionally, many retailers launch their own discount campaigns at the same time, so comparing prices is often worthwhile.
My tip for smart home fans
Anyone planning to buy a new device for their smart home should start a wish list now. This makes it possible to track prices leading up to Prime Day and spot genuine deals more easily.
I, too, will be taking advantage of Prime Day to find interesting deals. As soon as the first exciting offers become available, I will of course share them here.
