Navimow i2 LiDAR Pro Neues Top-Modell mit LiDAR und Allrad

Navimow i2 LiDAR Pro – Segway Announces New Pro Model with LiDAR and All-Wheel Drive

Navimow EN

With the official announcement of the Navimow i2 LiDAR Pro, Segway is expanding its range of wire-free robotic lawn mowers with a more powerful version of the recently launched i2 series. The new Pro version is specifically designed for properties with challenging terrain, including slopes, uneven ground and complex garden layouts.

A key addition to the newly announced model is the integrated All-Wheel-Drive-System (AWD). According to Segway, it can handle gradients of up to 55 Prozent (≈ 29°). This clearly positions the Pro model above the standard version and targets gardens where conventional robotic lawn mowers reach their limits. The new drive concept is intended to provide more stable tracking and consistent mowing results, especially on damp ground or more demanding terrain.

LiDAR navigation remains the technological foundation

The LiDAR-assisted 3D navigation remains unchanged. The system creates a precise digital map of the garden and enables a structured, systematic mowing strategy – completely without a boundary wire and without the stationary antenna familiar from the i1 series. The combination of laser sensors and visual obstacle detection ensures reliable navigation even in areas with limited satellite coverage or beneath dense vegetation.

Installation remains wireless via the app: virtual boundary zones can be defined digitally, mowing times can be scheduled and multiple lawn areas can be managed individually. The operating concept therefore remains identical to the existing i2 generation.

Navimow i2 LiDAR vs. Navimow i2 LiDAR Pro comparison

In a direct comparison, the Navimow i2 LiDAR and Navimow i2 LiDAR Pro share the same navigation platform, software and app integration. Both models use identical LiDAR-based 3D mapping, a structured mowing strategy and a fully wireless setup without a boundary wire. The key difference lies in the drive system: while the standard model is primarily designed for mostly level or gently sloping gardens, the Pro version’s all-wheel drive significantly expands its range of use and clearly targets slopes and complex properties.

Segway has not yet provided specific information on the recommended maximum lawn area for the Pro version. If the recommended area differs from that of the standard model, this could become another distinguishing feature – particularly with regard to the Pro model’s market positioning.

Conclusion

With the Navimow i2 LiDAR Pro, Segway is specifically expanding the i2 series with a version featuring All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) and enhanced off-road capability. Navigation, LiDAR mapping and app integration remain identical to the standard model. Information on price, recommended lawn area and market availability has not yet been officially announced. As soon as further details become available, we will report on the final specifications and positioning of the Pro model.
