IKEA is currently rolling out the new firmware version 1.1.4 for its affordable MYGGBETT door and window sensor. Early users are reporting the update on Reddit and are hoping above all for improvements to stability and connection issues.

MYGGBETT has recently struggled with connection issues

Since the affordable Matter sensor was launched, users have repeatedly reported pairing problems or unstable connections. Issues occurred particularly when it was used with different Thread Border Routers* or platforms. In some cases, sensors could only be added after several attempts or went offline again later.

Firmware version 1.1.4 is expected to improve stability

No official release notes from IKEA are currently available; the only information is an overview from the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA). However, the community suspects that the firmware update is primarily intended to improve communication reliability.
