With the new firmware and app version V4.1.0, Segway significantly expands the functionality of the Navimow i2 LiDAR Pro. The update not only brings improvements to navigation and mapping, but also integrates Home Assistant and Apple's "Find My" function into the new Pro series for the first time.
Overview of new firmware versions
To use all the new features, both the Navimow app and the firmware need to be updated. Segway specifies the following versions:
Robotic lawnmower firmware versions
- ACU firmware: v1.0.1.8
- ECU firmware: v1.0.0.D
- Vehicle control firmware: v1.0.1.0

AI triple fusion system improves navigation
One of the most important innovations concerns the robotic lawnmower's navigation. Segway now combines LiDAR, network RTK, and camera-based vision technology into a so-called "AI Triple Fusion System." This is intended to make positioning even more stable and precise – especially under difficult conditions such as under trees or bushes.
Stable navigation is crucial, especially for RTK-based robotic lawnmowers. With its additional LiDAR system, Segway is taking a similar approach to other manufacturers.

Auto-mapping will become significantly more intelligent
With version 4.1.0, the Navimow i2 LiDAR Pro receives an enhanced automatic mapping system. Users can now automatically create maps for single or multiple zones with just one click. Additionally, boundaries can be drawn and edited directly in the app without having to manually control the robot.
Also new is the "Real Scene" view. This displays the garden as a realistic map view, making it easier to adjust mowing zones and boundaries. This should significantly simplify setup, especially for complex properties.
Edge Sense improves edge mowing
Segway is also improving edge mowing. The new "Edge Sense" function is designed to ensure that the robotic lawnmower drives closer to boundaries and corners. This reduces the need for manual trimming along lawn edges. The function is currently still in the beta section of the app.
Home Assistant officially integrated
Of particular interest to smart home users: With version 4.1.0, the Navimow i2 LiDAR Pro now officially supports Home Assistant. This allows the robotic lawnmower to be directly integrated into automations and dashboards. Here you will find the link to... Instructions.
This enables, for example, the following automations:
- Start mowing only in good weather
- Break with the garden gate open
- Integration into attendance or security automation systems
- Status display directly in the Home Assistant dashboard
This is likely to be one of the most important features of the update, especially for technically savvy users.

Apple's "Find My" and new security features
egway has also enhanced its theft protection. The robotic lawnmower can now be located via Apple's "Find My" network – even when the device is switched off. Additionally, there's a new proximity unlock feature where the robot automatically unlocks as soon as the owner approaches with their smartphone.
Also new is an integrated 2.4-inch display, which allows status information to be viewed directly on the device and settings to be adjusted.
Battery management and cleaning mode
With this update, Segway also introduces enhanced battery management. Users can now define charging limits to improve battery life in the long term. Additionally, there's a new cleaning mode that automatically prepares the robotic lawnmower for cleaning and lowers the cutting disc.
