Integrating Navimow into Home Assistant: what’s new

With the current version of the Navimow app, Segway provides its own integration. It connects the robotic lawnmower directly to Home Assistant without additional services or workarounds. The integration is provided through an official GitHub project and can be installed through the Home Assistant Community Store (HACS).

Requirements for Navimow Home Assistant integration

For the setup to work, several technical requirements must be met. You need a current version of Home Assistant (version 2026.1 or later), running for example on a Raspberry Pi*, Home Assistant Green* or Home Assistant PC*. Access to HACS is also required because the integration is installed through it.

You also need an active Navimow account and the official Navimow app. Your robotic lawnmower must already be linked to this account and be online.

Navimow Home Assistant guide: step by step

Installation takes place through HACS and can be completed in just a few steps.

1. In Home Assistant, open “HACS” → “Integrations”.
2. Click the ⋮ menu in the upper-right corner and select “Custom repositories”.
   • Under “Repository”, enter: https://github.com/segwaynavimow/NavimowHA
3. Return to HACS, search for “Navimow” and install the integration.
4. Restart Home Assistant after the installation is complete.

The integration is then added and linked to your Navimow account. Once the connection is established, your robotic lawnmower automatically appears as a device in Home Assistant.

Functions in Home Assistant

After setup, basic control and monitoring functions are available. The robotic lawnmower can be started or stopped directly through Home Assistant and sent back to its charging station. Important status information is also displayed, including its current operating state and battery level. Device information such as the model and serial number is shown as well.

Possible automations

The integration lets you include the robotic lawnmower in automations. In our test, we created a simple automation that makes Navimow start mowing automatically at sunrise.

This example shows that the robotic lawnmower can be combined with other devices and triggers in Home Assistant, including schedules or external conditions such as weather data.
