The next Amazon Prime Day is just around the corner. Amazon has now officially confirmed that the 2026 shopping event will take place from June 23rd to 26th, starting significantly earlier than in previous years. Prime members will have access to millions of deals across almost every product category over four days.
Prime Day could be particularly worthwhile for smart home enthusiasts. In recent years, products from the smart home, consumer electronics, household goods, and balcony power plant categories have regularly been among the most heavily discounted items.
Four days of Prime Day deals
Originally launched as a one-day discount event, Amazon has expanded Prime Day considerably in recent years. In 2026, the event will once again run for four days. Prime members* can access exclusive offers from June 23rd to 26th. Not a Prime member yet? Then you can sign up at this link. link* provide information about membership.
The first [something] are already [something]. Preliminary offers* Available. Amazon is specifically advertising discounts on its own devices as well as selected products from the household, consumer electronics, and smart home categories.
These smart home products could be interesting
Even though the specific offers will only be announced shortly before Prime Day, a look at previous years reveals some typical candidates:
- Amazon Echo speakers and Echo Show displays*
- Ring cameras and video doorbells*
- Blink cameras*
- Smart home devices from Aqara*
- Shelly products*
- SwitchBot*
- Robotic vacuum cleaner from Roborock*, Dreame* and ECOVACS*
- Balcony power plant* and Energy meters*
Amazon's own products, in particular, traditionally attract the highest discounts during Prime Day.
Not every offer is automatically a bargain.
As with any discount promotion, it's worth taking a close look at price trends. Not every advertised saving is automatically a good deal. Price comparison websites can be helpful in checking whether a product is actually being offered at a lower price than in previous weeks. Furthermore, many retailers launch their own discount promotions simultaneously, so comparing prices is often worthwhile.
My tip for smart home fans
Anyone planning to buy a new device for their smart home should create a wish list now. This way, prices can be monitored before Prime Day, making it easier to spot genuine deals.
I too will be taking advantage of Prime Day again to find interesting deals. As soon as the first exciting offers are available, I will of course present them here.
